What is your professional background?
My career started in Minneapolis as a programmer and later as a QA Analyst for Guidant Corporation (now Boston Scientific) and Prudential Financials. in 2001, I moved to Boston where I accepted a position as a QA Analyst for The Risk Management Foundation of Harvard Medical Institutions. After four years, I moved to New York and joined a small software development company as Director of Operations and later as COO. In early 2009, I founded FinCode Solutions, a boutique software and web application development firm.
I graduated cum laude with a BS BA degree in Management Information Systems from Northeastern University. I am also a certified Project Manager from the PMI Institute
What led you to become interested in online media?
The interest came about as a natural progression in my career. After I left the corporate world and started running my own company, I have greatly diversified my skills and interest. In the past, I was an effective project manager running Enterprise-level software development projects, with little exposure to the web and online media. Launching FinCode led me to explore other trends, which was necessary to staying in business.

What is Sponzu? How did the idea come to you? Where do you see it going?
Sponzu is an online funding platform where anyone can make a difference - with or without money. Sponzu converts a minute of your time, or a gift of even 5 cents, into a meaningful contribution to a cause. Sponzu is redefining social fund raising by allowing people to support projects and ideas by engaging in simple tasks like watching video ads, answering surveys, and by donating small amounts of money to projects of their choosing. Through the collective participation, ideas attract their funding and sponsors add significant value to their own endeavors: creating goodwill and generating brand exposure, product awareness, brand associations, and positive PR.
