About Us

Heliotrope Books LLC is an independent book publisher and packager located in the East Village of New York City.

Initiated in 2006 by Naomi Rosenblatt, Heliotrope’s mission is to find the right structure and home for manuscripts we believe in.

Naomi has been associated with publishers like Random House, Scholastic, Four Walls Eight Windows, and Writers and Readers, Inc., as well as numerous smaller presses throughout the United States. Heliotrope Books has also worked with New York University’s Center for Publishing and The Summer Publishing Institute.

Years before Heliotrope Books was founded, Naomi has published books about the rainforests. We have therefore committed 1% of annual profits to rainforest protection.
